In the early 1900s puzzles were a luxury often items for those who were well to do. They were not a child's toy as perceived by many people now. This puzzle "Hunting Road" has the makings of one of the most difficult puzzles you have ever worked on.
One of the most amazing things to note was that the shapes or figures were all cut out separately then cut again. There is some minor damage and one missing piece. The part that made this puzzle crazy challenging was there was no picture to follow. There is some sleight water damage to the box.
This puzzle was made the sawyers for De-Pend-On Jigsaw Puzzles. It was one of the first jigsaw cut puzzles from the 1930s and was made in Stamford Connecticut. It is number 1284
This puzzle would make a fantastic gift for any puzzle lover or woodworker.
